Futures of the Baale Mane Girls

What do you want to be when you grow up? The Baale Mane girls share their dreams for their futures, what they want to do as a career and why they are passionate about those dreams. Although the girls come from disadvantaged backgrounds, we encourage them to aim high and pursue the careers they are passionate about. We currently have girls who are hoping to be doctors, accountants and work in the government, among other things. We support the girls in school, through college or vocational courses, and for six months after they graduate. We also provide careers counselling and job readiness programmes, to ensure they are equipped to follow their dreams.

“In my future I want to become a chartered accountant. I am working very hard, and when I become a chartered accountant I will be settled in my life and I will look after my family and me as well.”

“My goal is to become a dance teacher because I like the audience encouraging and cheering for me.”

“I want to become a crop researcher and study on an agriculture and science course. For the sake of protecting our nations agriculture I choose this course.”
